100 + Abandoned Dogs of Everglades Florida would like to take a moment first and foremost to thank the City of Sunrise Police Department. We feel that we are at a pivotal moment to make a difference in the lives of the suffering animals in our community. Those who have been following have witnessed a series of events the past few weeks. Animal cruelty has run rampant and we are facing a crisis. There are numerous issues that need to be addressed. Unfortunately Broward County is no longer accepting animals they are at their fullest capacity. This is a community crisis. Unfortunately Animal cruelty continues and must still be addressed no matter what. We have seen different responses within the past few weeks. Last night we believe was a victory for these helpless animals. The City of Sunrise Police Department went into action with compassion, competence, knowledge and professionalism. The results of their actions put the abuser in jail and the abused out of Harm’s Way and into safe hands. We feel that the City of Sunrise has set an extremely important example. We must continue to make these abusers accountable for their cruel actions. Our statutes & laws that are put into place to protect these innocent victims. It is only if the agencies enforce what has been set in motion to protect these innocent beings that we can accomplish diminishing these cruel acts. Please take a moment to help us send a message to the City of Sunrise Police Department thanking them for serving and protecting. We will follow through with this case and keep everyone posted. We would like to make clear that all agencies and rescues should have one common goal. We all should be working together. Last night was a perfect example of what we can accomplish when we work together. The animals depend on us to be courageous, compassionate and knowledgeable. Thank you for your love and support.
