Our Louie has been with us for 2 years TODAY! Help us get him a home…

2 years ago today a woman heard a godawful howl coming from the lake behind her home. She looked over the seawall and saw this boy drowning. She called police and jumped in to pull him out just before he lost the fight. Officer Louie answered the call and rushed to help so it only seemed fitting to name this boy Louie. Officer Louie brought him to us to receive medical care. He was puking water for hours, tested positive for heartworm and was so so thin. His ears are permanently scared from someone trying to rubber band them tight to cut off the blood supply. They weren’t successful, Louie will always bear those scars knowing he overcame abuse and neglect!

After painful treatment for heartworm, nourishment and love, Louie bounced back! He is a fun loving, super playful pup. He’s about 4 years old now and has spent the last 2 YEARS in our care waiting for his forever home. We just don’t get it. Why?! He loves to run, play with toys, roll around in the grass and is a perfect gentleman on the leash. He has to be the only animal. Is that REALLY that much to ask from such stud muffin?! Louie, it hurts our heart that you haven’t found your angel yet.

We love you so so much baby boy, 2016 just HAS TO BE YOUR YEAR!!!
