“I think I’ll go rescue a dog”..

“I think I’ll go rescue a dog”..Great, but put on your suit of armor first…”What do you mean?” That will help you face what’s ahead …You will encounter some who will not give up an animal that they are abusing..Some who, with tears in their eyes, will hand you a precious pet because they are too ill to care for them..Some who will release their pet because they took in too many and now they must give them up.. Some who, because they heartlessly have surrendered their furry family member after years of loyalty, will cause you to rush to a high kill shelter to save them..Some who will beg you to save a stray who has been left in the cold by an insensitive human being..Some who have bred their pet until she can no longer live a normal life now give them to you to try and repair the damage..Some who have put their animal into fighting rings do their best to keep you from rescuing them..Some who make their pet so afraid, from some kind of trauma, that it is barely possible to bring that animal to safety.. “I can’t do that, it’s too emotionally hard”. Well thank a rescuer, then, who goes out day after day to face these unimaginable challenges. Do what you can to give them support.
