Christine is safe!

Today was one of the hardest days to date in rescue for us. Weeks ago we brought in four puppies that were born and living under the train tracks at the Tri Rail train station in Hialeah. The workers called us for help as they have done in the past. Today we went out to rescue the last puppy we were not able to bring in on our last rescue weeks ago. We also set out to bring in the mommy. After hours of digging in dirt, pushing away under train rails and with the help of the kind workers, we brought the last puppy into safety. This puppy has been named Christine, named after her foster mom who has been fostering the siblings 4 weeks, bottle feeding around the clock with her husband Bob. When we brought Christine into safety, we immediately took her to Imperial point Animal Hospital in Fort Lauderdale and she was given a Capstar as she was infested with fleas. She was given a warm bath, her vaccines, a dewormer and a microchip. Foster daddy Bob ran to pick her up, wrapped in a blanket to reunite her with her sisters. Here they are, together again …
