Puppy Trixie is home…

Puppy Trixie is home…

This is a very special and emotional adoption for us. Our sweet Trixie one of mommy Tanya’s babies pulled from Miami Dade Animal Services after being locked-in isolation. Has found her forever HOME!. This amazing family came to meet Trixie earlier in the week not sure if it was the right time to bring a puppy home. Their lab Lexi was a little bit older and already being beaten up by their nine month old puppy Roxy. But they wanted a playmate for Roxy. They fell in love with Trixie that day, but when they got home that day, they came home to see that sweet Lexie had tragically fallen gravely ill.. and sadly passed away two days later. They were in mourning and unsure if Trixie coming home would be the right thing for them, but I brought her over there anyway just to see. When I got there they told me that Roxie had been pacing the house and crying looking for Lexie. So when we went in and made the introductions as you can see in the video it was absolutely MAGICAL. We rescued Trixie ..but Trixie rescued this family.!! We were all in tears!! Absolutely meant to be!! Happy life Trixie..♡

We would like to say Thank You for your Love and Support.

We would like to say Thank You for your Love and Support.

Hello Everybody! We would like to say Thank You for your Love and Support. We would like to express our gratitude for the outpouring of inquiries on the Yorkies We rescued today. Please understand that we are going through everything as quickly as we possibly can. We are being inundated for that we are grateful, but we must ask for your patience in this process. If you are interested we ask that you fill out an application which is located at our website 100plusabandondeddogs.org. We will be updating as we continue to process everything. There are few that have been spoken for already. Below is the out of state adoption policy for those of you who are not local. We do not transport…..While long distance adoptions are infrequent, we have had many that have been successful.
As we are unable to complete a home check, we have a pretty defined process:
1. Application completed in advance
2. Detailed home and yard photos or video
3. Vet references
4. Phone interview
5. If Potential adopter meets the requirements in 1-4, the potential adopter must complete a meet and greet locally and if approved at the meet and greet, adopter must transport the dog themselves back home (we do not allow our dogs to be transported in the cargo hold of a plane)
6. Adoption fee

Existing pets in the house – generally is an impediment to the process as there is no proper way to introduce the animals to ensure all their safety.
If interested please contact us at

100plusabandoneddogs@gmail.com. Thank you everyone for your patience as we continue to answer calls, notifications, emails and review applications

Louie is stopping by to say he’s doing great!!

Louie is stopping by to say he’s doing great!!

Louie’s rescue story is a sad one. On 1/6/14 a woman heard dreadful screams coming from the lake behind her home. She found this boy drowning in the lake. She called the police and our very good friend, Louie, answered the call and rushed to the scene where the woman had jumped in and pulled him out just before he went under for good. It only seemed fitting to name this boy Louie after our friend and police responder. He was vomiting water and completely out of breath, he was taken to the animal hospital and was so weak he couldn’t even walk all the way into lobby. He layed down and just shook. Louie was heartworm positive, not neutered and someone had tied a rubber band around his ears to try and cut off the blood supply so they would be shortened. Louie overcame it all and patiently waited nearly 3 years for a home to call his own. Our hearts were over the moon when our long time friend and foster Robin said she would foster Louie. Robin adopted Louie and the two of them have the most special bond.. It is an unbreakable bond. Louie never leaves his mommy’s side! What a beautiful ending to a nearly tragic beginning! We love you so much Louie.

Molly, before and after

Molly, before and after

Love always wins!! Molly, before and after. Molly was so scared, not knowing what was going to happen to her. She was living outside in filth. She was such a sweetheart through it all and was adopted into the most loving home. Molly joined the Somers pack and is spoiled and loved beyond belief!! This is what its all about!
